Latency & throughput

Proxy Speed Test

Measure how fast a proxy really is: TCP connect time, time to first byte, total round-trip and a small download throughput sample — through HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5.

MetricResultWhat it means
TCP connect-Time to open the socket to the proxy — network distance + proxy load.
Time to first byte-Until the first response byte arrives through the proxy.
Total time-Full request round-trip through the proxy.
Throughput-Small download sample — a quick diagnostic, not a full bandwidth benchmark.

Test a proxy to see its speed profile.

What is a good proxy speed?

For scraping and automation, under ~300 ms total is fast, 300–1000 ms is usable, and multi-second proxies stall pipelines. Free proxies swing wildly with load — re-test before relying on one, and prefer proxies geographically close to your target.

Testing many proxies?

The bulk proxy checker measures speed for a whole list in parallel and lets you export the fast ones. For rotating endpoints, the rotating proxy tester samples repeatedly and reports unique exit IPs.
